How to hire a self-drive B-Boat
Good on you for choosing B-Boating ~ the sustainable, fun and easy way to explore Bristol's iconic waterways. Getting on board with us is easy. Simply follow these steps:
1) Decide how long you'd like to hire a boat. We have 1-hour, 2-hour and 3-hour time-slots available.
2) Watch our safety video for useful instructions and tips on how to enjoy your B-Boating experience.
3) Book your B-boat via our website.
4) At the appointed hour, make your way to Capricorn Quay. Aim to arrive fifteen minutes early to allow our team enough time to run through boat operation and safety procedures with you.
5) Don your captain's hat and be away. Be sure to return your B-Boat to its rightful home before your booking window ends to avoid a penalty :-)

Before hiring a boat, the designated skipper must watch and confirm they understand our safety briefing video.
The video explains important rules including:
✓ Skipper must be over 18 and stay sober
✓ No more than 6 people per boat
✓ Stay on your right when driving
✓ Avoid other water users at all costs
✓ No jumping into the water
✓ Only moor on locations shown on the map
